I am a life-long Unitarian Universalist and have worked as a religious professional for 15 years. For seven years I served as a Director of Religious Exploration for a Seattle mid-sized church. During my time we grew from 23 kids to 125 kids and doubled our adult membership. Next, I served at the Church of the Larger Fellowship as a Learning Fellow for Family Ministry and Online Learning. Since 2016 I have served the Liberal Religious Educators Association as their lone staff person.
In 2018 I began my studies at The Chaplaincy Institute, an Interfaith Seminary and Community in the Interfaith Studies program. In 2019 I began studies in ChI’s Spiritual Direction program. I anticipate ordination as an Interfaith minister in the spring of 2020 and certification as a Spiritual Director in the fall of 2020.
I write on spiritual topics and was published in UUA’s Skinner House inSpirit series “To Wake, To Rise” as well as in the UUA’s Worship Web, CLF’s Quest and the UU World’s Family Pages. I also write a blog called Spirit Spark that has been featured in the UU World’s Interdependent Web the weekly blog roundup.
